Processes in labour market – economic restructuring, growth of the private sector comparing to public sector, development of market based relations – influence employment. In recent time attention initiated by developing labour market in Lithuania on employment and unemployment is much bigger. Women‘s employment opportunities are determined by still popular public opinion about social man’s and women‘s roles, although Lithuanian laws provide equal opportunities in labour market. The research was made to evaluate problems of women’s unemployment including opinion about work, values, obstacles that respondents met in their career, reasons of unemployment. |
