The title of the study is ‘A comparative analysis of the peripheral areas of the glacial surface of the Medininkai highland and Eišiškės plateau’ It was not concluded in the manuscripts that Medininkai highland and Eišiškės plateau is the same age. The aim of the master thesis is to do comparative characteristic of two orographic localities. Grain size and petropgraphic analysis were done and mastered for that reason. Three outcrops in Medininkai highland and three in Eišiškės plateau were choisen for the investication. 25 samples for the grain size and 19 for the petropgraphic analysis were taken. Conclusions of this study and previously done similar research evidence that Medininkai highland and Eišiškės plateau is the same age formations, the same glacier, but formed by different flow. |
