Abstract [eng] In recent decades the world economy is undergoing deep structural changes in the period: the development of information technology has developed further than was ever expected, it changed the business and competition rules and has increasingly growing, not only in one country and one on the mainland market myriad new products and services. Among other things, are less severe part of the gross domestic product (GDP) in developed countries is achieved through the development and use of scientific knowledge. Declared that the knowledge economy, one of the components of intellectual capital is independent of the major natural resources and energy, it is friendly for the environment (Night, 2001). 'D. Greison stresses that "it is the human capital, rather than factories, equipment and industrial supplies is the competitiveness, economic growth and efficiency as the cornerstone" (Bagdanavičius, 2009). Also, discuss the valuation models and conducted research to evaluate the intellectual capital of Lithuanian higher education institutions.
