Abstract [eng] Foreign direct investment (FDI) that comes from more developed countries increases competition, innovation expansion, which promotes national economy growth but also FDI has a negative influence to social elements. In this project one will find the analysis of FDI influence to national economy development and exaltation of their advantages and disadvantages, which of course, influence people of our country. The purpose of this project is to evaluate FDI influence to Lithuanian economy (market) appealing to theory and methodical analysis. The Object of research - is FDI in Lithuanian economy (market). The theory part of project represents the conception of investments, followed by information about investments, their forms, economical point and juridical regulation. Also this part presents principal elements, which influence FDI development, what strategies are used for penetration of FDI and what technical cooperation aspects are available with companies and investors of the country. Analytic part of the project presents FDI review on Lithuanian economy using statistic information. There is properly discussed FDI distribution in different economy branches and different Lithuanian districts, emphasizing the most FDI attracting branches and districts. This part also presents FDI influence to GDP of country, employment and unemployment, considering FDI improvement in Lithuanian economy. The third part presents the verification of hypothesis. This part generalizes questionnaire material, presents the results of accomplished regression analysis which was received by research work. The end of this project formulates conclusions and also presents suggestions, how to promote FDI to Lithuanian economy and how to decrease its negative influence. The project consists of fifty-one pages, thirty charts and six pictures.
