Abstract [eng] The objective of this study was to examine the level of perceived parents‘ emotional response and control and the level of emotional and behavioral difficulties of adolescents and to determine the associations among all these dimensions. 147, ages 12 to 15 years, participated in this study, they were divided to three groups according the structure of the family they live in: 101 adolescent lives with his both parents, 31 adolescent lives only with his mother, 15 adolescents live with their mother and her partner. Assessment tools used: Children Behavior Checklist CBCL 6/18 and YSR 11/818 forms, questionnaire on family structure, questionnaire on perceived parents’ emotional response and control (forms for perceived mother’s and father’s behaviour). It was found, that adolescents, living with their both parents, perceive emotional mother’s response of higher level than adolescents, living with their mother or mother and her partner. Adolescents’, living in different structure families, perceived father’s or other caretaker’s emotional response is of the same level. Adolescents, living with their mother and her partner, perceive their caregivers’ control of higher level than adolescents’ from two other groups. The emotional and behavioral difficulties level of adolescents from different structure families is of the same level. The negative significant relationship was found between perceived mother’s and father’s or other caregiver’s instead of the father emotional response. The same relationship was found between caregivers’ perceived control level (in the groups of adolescents, living with both parent ar only the mother). According to the results of this research, perceived emotional mother’s response level is significantly negatively related to withdrawal/depression, attention problems, rule-breaking and aggressive behavior levels. Perceived emotional father’s (or other caregiver’s instead of him) response level is significantly negatively related to anxiety/depression, withdrawal/depression, somatic complains, thought, attention, internal and general problems level. Perceived mother’s control level is significantly and positively related to attention problems. There were relationships in separate groups of children too, but they were different.
