The aim of this research project is to realize unemployment situation of Telšių city unemployed people, as well evaluate motivation for job search. And to find out long – term unemployed people and experts opinion on professional training and it‘s advantage. The method of data collection has been long – term unemployed people and experts questionnaire. Participants were Telšių city long – term unemployed people (68) and experts (16). In first part of this research project is review long – term unemployment theoretical assumptions such as concept of long – term unemployment, long –term unemployed people unemployment situation development in Lithuanian labour market. Were described long –term unemployment causes and consequences as well possibilities how to reduce long – term unemployment. In third part is introduced the main results of empirical research. So it was described unemployment situation of long – term unemployed people in Telšiai, as well were measured their motivation to find a job and in that ways they are looking for a job. It was identified main reasons how to discontinue long – term unemployment. Where were no statistically reliable connection between long – term unemployed people age and participation in professional training. In this part were analysed connection between long term unemployed people education and participation in professional training, main reasons for quitting job search. It was indicated correlation between long – term unemployed people age and participation in professional training, that younger long – term unemployed people are more motivated to study, than older one. It was found experts conceptions about long – term unemployed people in Telšiai city and their participation in professional training. Experts and long – term unemployed conceptions were compared and came to a conclusion that both value professional training positively. |
