This paper namely interests in intercultural interactions, attempting to understand different cultures and successful adaptation in hosting culture. The main problem of this work is to identify cultural distances, describe situations in whose these distances are most remarquables, how strangers manage them, and the way they influence cultural adaptation. Originality of this paper refers that the topic of cultural adaptation is relative new, especially in Lithuania, so there are very few researches concerned question mentioned above. Further, generally inquireing is emigration of lithuanians in other countrys, but not the adaptation of strangers in Lithuania, though this becoming more and more relevant subject. The main purpose of research is to review stranger‘s adaptation experience in daily, social, cultural life and professional environement. |
