Abstract [eng] Master's thesis – the dependency of disease communication. The aim - to examine the specific of dependence disease communication and realization properties in different countries. Objectives: to discuss the specifics of health communication; to determine the communication problems of addiction; to examine the principles of organization of the communication of the addiction; to identify international trends and principles of realization in Lithuania. An analysis of scientific literature and research in the field of communication, using analogies, content analysis and document analysis methods of communication analysis of addiction concludes that health communication is an important factor in reducing illnesses. In the analysis of health communication research, media reported an indirect effect on value. When focusing on different parts of the world of communication features of addiction, the importance of organization, and expression of the law were noticed. Using content analysis method, a quantitative and qualitative research was made. Online sites alcohol issues were selected and tested in Lithuania and the United States of America. Analyzing and summarizing collected material, it was observed that these countries addiction, communication is implemented differently and that this is related to the different cultural dimensions. It was concluded that in Lithuania addiction communication is realizable in more abstract level than in United States of America. Based on the analysis, six proposals are provided for improving Lithuania ongoing communication of addictions. Work can be a useful for intercultural communication professionals, students, institutions working in the field of addiction prevention and other theorists and practitioners because it provides the opportunity to develop analysis including different countries. In addition, according to the study results and conclusions, a deeper analysis of problems is required.
