Abstract [eng] The goal of this research – to analyze the phenomena of psychological adaptation in Lithuanian schools among adolescents who belong to ethnic groups – that is Russian and Polish students. During the research, we tried to discover how Russian and Polish students feel about their attending Lithuanian schools. In other words, we seek to understand how these adolescents estimate themselves and their position among their contemporaries. 164 respondents were asked to fill the questionnaires. It was found, how it was expected, that thus Russian thus Polish students estimate themselves very negatively. Furthermore their social status among classmates is low, too. The results showed that Russians and Polish academic achievements are low, comparing with Lithuanians. This research demonstrated that ethnic groups feel small and more inferior over Lithuanians.
