Abstract [eng] The prime attention of this research was given to an informal physical education. Till now the informal education was identified with leisure, additional training. Informal education is a constituent part of the education system, existing in parallel with the formal education. This training is designed to develop personality‘s abilities, self-expression needs, expand creativity, to promote health and have purposeful leisure time. A very popular example of the informal education activity is a sport circle as additional education means. Research object – the quality of the informal physical training for children residing in a village. Research hypothesis – from a viewpoint of common education pupils residing in the village the quality of physical training is evaluated positively on the whole; in education experts‘ estimation the informal physical training of the village pupils doesn‘t fully satisfy their cognition and self-expression needs. Research goal – to survey the quality of the informal physical training among pupils residing in the village estimating this phenomenon in the point of view of both pupils and experts, to exclude the fundamental problems and force the development possibilities. Research methods: Theoretical: a scientific literature review and generalization. Empirical: a questionnaire; structured interview method; the analysis of statistical research data. Evaluating the quality of the informal physical training of the village pupils we can predicate that this activity usually gets the role of only spending leisure time disregarding all the possibilities which this activity can give for pupils in their education, personality formation, health promotion and acquisition of necessary skills. The viewpoint of the village pupils to the informal physical training is substantially positive. The majority of them have a possibility to take part in a sport circle activities, also a possibility to choose their preferable sport circles. The following factors that have the negative influence on the quality of this informal education of the village pupils are: an unformed pupils‘ need for physical training, a negative parents‘ viewpoint to this phenomenon, a low physical activity of the pupils, material problems and an insufficiently acquired need of health protection and promotion.
