This Master thesis analyzes subjective experiences of youth who have grown in children‘s care home integration into the labor market in the context of the challenges and opportunities. The aim of the research – to reveal challenges and opportunities of youth who have grown in the children's care homes integration into the labor market. Objectives of the study: based on literature analysis to reveal the theoretical integration aspects, children care home activities in preparing young people to enter the labor market; based on subjective youth grown in children care home experiences to reveal the integration into the labor market problems in the context of professional motives, vocational training, job search methods, their evaluation of training, contact with employer, job difficulties and work issues; analysis of the child care home have grown up young people experiences, revealing factors that influence the successful integration into the labor market, employment and support issues; to prepare a socio-educational project on recommendational base. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, interview, content analysis and expert evaluation. The study involved six men who grew up in foster homes (18-29 years old). The essential findings: the failure of young people integration into the labor market in the beginning – professional education where young people had difficulty deciding on a profession and lacked competent help in this process. While choosing a profession institutional care is provided by various types of support, especially in young people's meetings and professions, but integration into the labor market exacerbated by the fact that they chose inadequate job search methods, overestimated their professional training, or have experienced difficulties in job search related to age, lack of experience, poor professional preparation specific to the proposed work and. It is also noted that these young people received mostly unskilled or fixed-term jobs, and these works in the context of the difficulties encountered – tasking adaptation team or working time of specificity or even dismissal. This focus on the factors that could lead to their integration into the labor market success of young people identified both internal (eg, motivation) and external (eg, professional assistance) factors. Young people are not positive about opportunities to find employment. They do not expect to find a better job, but it is expressed in the process of specialist employment support needs. |
