Abstract [eng] Aim of study. To evaluate the connection between contemporary animation and 4 -7 grade schoolchildren behavior and sence of health in Vilnius. Methods. 1 007 of 4 -7 grade schoolchildren (49.2 % of girls and 50.8 % of boys) were interviewed by questionnaire-based way in twelve schools of Vilnius. The statistical analysis was performed using the statistical SPSS package (Statistical Paskarte for Social Siences) 17.0 version. Chi- square and Fišher (2x2 table) tests were used to evaluate the data difference reliability. WinPepi program was used to evaluate the difference between groups. The difference was statistically significant, when p≤0,05. Mann ir Whitney U tests were used to analyze the rank and non-parametric data. Kruscal Wallis test was used to analize more than two independent equations. To find correlations between variables some statistical coefficients were used showing the strength and direction: Spearman‘s koreliation coefficient was used in asymmetric constant values (as this rate is close to -1 or 1, the relationship between variables is stronger) and contingency coefficient, relationship between variables dimension for discontinuous variables. Binary logistic regression was used to calculate the variable probability factor. Results. Survey data shows that children of all ages are watching animation no longer than three hours. Younger children often prefer the eastern hours to watch animation, sixth and seventh grade students prefer the noon hours. It was found that in the modern style of animation may have an impact on children's behavior. Comedy (OR=17,11; PI=2,738-106,923; p=0,002) and adventure movies (OR=14,96; PI=2,386-93,793; p=0,004) make the most influence on student behavior. Cartoons helps to provide aid more for girls than for boys (62.5 per cent. and 42.5 percent. p <0.001). Male respondents repeat aggression seen on animation three times more than females (p<0,001). It is set a weak (contingency coefficient is 0.21) relationship between the seened animation movie scenes realisation in real life and in the class in which children learn. Fourth grade students (average grade-547.01) more than six grade students (the average rank-469.39) are influenced modern animation and would like to solve their problems, as seen in animation (p <0.001). Fourth grade students indicate that the cartoon has an impact on their well-being more (mean rank-546.27) , than the seventh grade students (the average grade-465, 32). Statistically significant relationship between American animation and feeling conditions is weak, which is: fatigue (r=0,09), bad mood (r=0,07), fear (r=0,07). Only 45.1 per cent. respondents' parents are interested in movies witch their children watch. The study shows that more than a half (56.7 percent) of 4-7 grade students parents from Vilnius never discuss their seen cartoons with their children. This has always done by just 7.5 percent of respondents' parents. Conclusions. There was no statistically significant influence of a specific genre of animation on children's behavior. However, 53.6 per cent. respondents had the idea to copy the seen scenes in animated movies. 58.6 per cent. of them made that desire come true in real life. There were more fourth grade students than sixth grade students, who wanted to solve their problems according to what they have seemded in animation. Animation has a greater impact on girls than boys. Contemporary American animation can cause respondents a fatigue, fear, and bad mood. Less seven school children is a parental control option in animated films.
