Abstract [eng] The number of educated people in Lithuania is the leader among all European Union countries, but does not justify its own market expectations. While the EU's educational progress report attributed to the leaders of Lithuania, both in business and student representatives, the education policy-makers call this a problem, rather than the joyful conclusion. It is appropriate to the pyramid principle: what is better - to have crowds of graduates and to ensure that the vocational schools to prepare more experts to be the economy? Such a pyramid principle is installed in more than one EU country. Sweden is known as a problem in their country come to study in universities, people over the age of 28. However, in reality it is a quality mark, because such people may already know what they want. We have the most educated young people, and one Lithuanian higher education is financed at least in the European Union. Consequently, the rush to higher education is very strong, although for this and to be paid. Education - good. But in this area should seek to Lithuania at the highest possible, and as rationally as possible the results of Lithuania universities to produce scientific elites, and a number would be sufficient.
