Abstract [eng] The present study examined the co-creation of museum educational services for kids and youth. The topic is relevant to traditional and contemporary museums, as well as educational institutions. Increasing number of scientists who investigate the concept of co-creation notice that involvement and participation in various organizational processes of the visitors cause higher company competitiveness and produce value for such visitors, as well as the company. A few studies of co-creation of museum educational services has been conducted in Lithuania, therefore the research problem has been defined as follows: what are the possible co-creation improvement tendencies of kids and youth educational services, that would improve the quality of such educational services? Co-creation of museum educational services for kids and youth has been chosen as the object of this study. The aim of this study is to determine the tendencies of co-creation of museum educational services for children and youth by revealing the essence of the co-creation concept, in order to improve the quality of educational services. The following research objectives have been defined: reveal the essence of co-creation concept, identify the tendencies of museum mission shift, reveal museum educational service concept by determining the elements of educational service quality co-creation, ascertain manifestations of museum educational services co-creation in mission and vision statements of Lithuanian Museum Association museums, anticipate improvement tendencies of kids and youth educational services in Lithuanian Museum Association museums. Research methodology: analysis of scientific literature sources, data analysis of Lithuanian Museum Association museum documents, focus discussion groups with educators of Lithuanian Museum Association museums. In the present empirical study mission and vision statements found in Lithuanian Museum Association museum websites have been analysed trying to find elements of educational services co- creation. The study revealed that many museums acknowledge co-creation possibilities in their mission statements, however traditional museum responsibilities are their main priority. Such museum mission statement analysis was confirmed by conducting focus group discussions: museum educators acknowledge educational services co-creation, however focus group discussion helped to reveal obstacles to potential perspectives of educational services co-creation. Findings and recommendations for children and youth educational services co-creation improvement possibilities in Lithuanian Museum Association museums are presented at the end of this Master's thesis.
