Abstract [eng] Diuretic therapy is not associated with improved outcomes in heart failure and may cause significant side effects. Counteracting the core pathophysiological mechanisms of heart failure through neurohormonal blockade while reducing reliance on diuretics is potentially the most effective method of decongestion.
