93 pages, 41 charts, 11 pictures, 92 references The main purpose of this master thesis is to find out the relationship between job demands and resources, teacher burnout, emotional intelligence and job performance by using the analysis of literature sources and the results of a quantitative research. The work consists of five main parts: a review of scientific literature, research methodology, analysis of research results, summary of research results, conclusion and recommendations. The review of scientific literature presents the main aspects of job demands and resources, teacher burnout, emotional intelligence and job performance. The second part describes the methodology of the quantitative research: the purpose of the research, objectives, research model and 11 research hypotheses are presented. The author also assessed the reliability of the questionnaire and the compliance of the data with a normal distribution.. The third part presents the results of the quantitative research. 405 teachers participated in the research. Respondents' answers were analyzed using SPSS PROCESS, Process by Andrew F. Hayes 14 model and Smart PLS 4 software. Various statistical analyses were used to determine whether demographic characteristics influence teacher burnout and what relationships exist between the study variables. The study confirmed a moderated mediation model, in which job demands and resources influence teachers' work outcomes, with burnout acting as a mediator and emotional intelligence as a moderator. The main research results and suggestions are described at the end of the work. This work may provide useful insights for educational institutions and teachers who seek to decrease the phenomenon of burnout, and provide suggestions for future research directions. |
