Relevance of the Topic This master's thesis analyzes the increasing focus of contemporary education on active learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Research indicates that teaching is a dynamic process during which knowledge is not merely transferred but co-created. Leadership in the education sector is also undergoing a transformation, shifting from traditional, authoritarian models towards more inclusive and visionary approaches. Collegiality, as a spirit of cooperation and support, is becoming the cornerstone of the academic community. Research Object and Problem The research object is the experiences of creating an inclusive school culture. The research problem is that organizational culture is developed, it does not form spontaneously; it is created by the community/people. Community involvement in organizational development is not chaotic but collegial. It is precisely humane relationships in the school that create suitable conditions for personal development, and at the same time lead to better quality of education, influence the success and progress of the school as an organization. To improve this area, it is necessary to investigate the situation of interpersonal relationships in the community, the ability to work together in organizations, and to identify opportunities for developing an inclusive school culture. Methods A qualitative research was conducted. Data was collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. Research Aim and Objectives The aim of the research is to reveal the experiences of creating an inclusive school culture by empowering the activities of a collegial community. The objectives are: 1. To reveal the theoretical aspects of a modern organization as a collegial community. 2. To summarize the theoretical approaches to the formation of an inclusive culture in an educational organization. 3. To investigate the experiences of teachers and support specialists, revealing opportunities to create an inclusive school culture by empowering the activities of a collegial community. 4. To reveal the reasons that create barriers to the collegial activities of a school community in creating an inclusive school culture. Conclusions - After analyzing the theoretical aspects of a modern organization's functioning as a collegial community, it can be stated that modern organizations are increasingly recognized not only as structures designed to perform tasks, but also as collegial communities. This approach is based on the assumption that employee engagement, collaboration, and collective responsibility are essential factors for organizational success. - Summarizing the theoretical approaches to the formation of an inclusive culture in an educational organization, it can be stated that an inclusive culture in an educational organization is an environment where every member of the community – student, teacher, parent – feels accepted, valued, and has equal opportunities to participate in all activities. - Having examined the experiences of teachers and support specialists, revealing opportunities to create an inclusive school culture by enabling collegial community action, it can be stated that teachers and support specialists, being directly involved in the educational process, have a unique perspective on how to create an inclusive school culture and promote collegial community action. Their experience reveals various factors that contribute to the successful creation of an inclusive school. - Having revealed the reasons that create barriers to the collegial action of the school community in creating an inclusive school culture, it can be stated that creating a collegial school community action is an important step towards an inclusive school culture, but this process can be hampered by various barriers (lack of trust, different viewpoints and values, lack of time, lack of resources). |
