Abstract [eng] |
The Master's thesis analyses the modelling of the development and implementation of new services in public libraries for non-formal adult education. Taking into account the contemporary needs of the society and new educational services, the growing importance of non-formal adult education, the aim of the research is to construct a model for the development and implementation of new services for non-formal adult education adapted to public libraries and to assess the feasibility of the implementation of new educational services in public libraries on the basis of an analysis of the institution's documents and a study of the needs of users. The scientific literature reveals that the development and implementation of new services is a complex process that requires theoretical and practical justification. In order to offer new educational services to users, public libraries need to know how to develop and implement them successfully and to be aware of and oriented towards the specific needs of all user groups. Therefore, when introducing new services, non-formal adult education services, into the market - public libraries - it is necessary to carry out research on the needs of users and to anticipate the possibilities of the company to introduce new services. This requires actions and decisions to be made which must be anticipated in the theoretical models for the development and introduction of new services. The methods and models should ensure that the actions to introduce new services are justified. The frequent failures of new service deployment are an indication of inappropriate deployment, without a rational roadmap and without a rational consideration of the possible circumstances. The problem of the Master's thesis can be defined by the question: how to design and implement new services for non-formal adult education in public libraries. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses the concept of a new service, the models of development and implementation of new services, the possibilities of their application, the marketing and management aspects, the services provided by public libraries, the analysis of non-formal adult education services and the need for implementation in public libraries. Based on the theoretical analysis of the scientific literature, a model for the development and introduction of new non-formal adult education services into the public library market is designed. The designed model comprises four main stages: analysis, conception, coordination and implementation. The model ensures a systematic and efficient implementation process of the new services, involving library users and organisational resources. In order to assess the feasibility of introducing new non-formal adult education services in public libraries, an analysis of the institution's documentation was carried out, which showed that the most important factors for the development and feasibility of educational services are community needs research, appropriate allocation of human resources and strategic planning. This allows the identification of the main challenges related to the development and implementation of new services. A quantitative study was carried out to find out the needs of public library users in relation to non-formal adult education services. The analysis of the survey showed that there is a strong need for non-formal adult education services in public libraries. The main expectations of users include the availability of new forms of learning, technological accessibility and high quality of services. These results underline the need for more intensive involvement of users in the service development process. The study has confirmed the validity of the analytical steps in the first phase of the designed model, but further steps require further empirical investigation. |
