The Master's thesis analyses how to personalise social services for families with children with disabilities and how personalisation of social services is related to the improvement of the quality of life of families with children with disabilities. Personalisation of social services for families with children with disabilities is essential to effectively respond to the unique needs of these families. Personalised social services not only help to reduce daily stress, but also promote greater social inclusion, allowing families to better integrate into society, the education system and the labour market, thereby reducing social exclusion. Involving the family in determining the need for personalised social services is a key factor in ensuring that services are tailored to the specific needs of the family and the child. The theoretical part of the study analyses the scientific literature of Lithuanian and foreign authors, reveals the concept of personalised services, their origin and scope, analyses the concept of quality of life of the family, and determines how social services should be personalised to improve the quality of life of families with children with disabilities. In the empirical part of the thesis, a qualitative (in-depth) interview method was used to determine how to personalise social services to improve the quality of life of families with children with disabilities, taking into account the individual needs, the socio-emotional and social problems of the families, and the need for long-term support. The municipality of Telšiai district was chosen for this study. The aim of the study is to analyse the concept of personalisation of social services and to empirically investigate how social services should be personalised and applied to families with children with disabilities in order to improve their quality of life. The object of the study is the personalisation of social services in the context of quality of life for families with children with disabilities. The study not only identifies problems in the personalisation and delivery of social services, but also provides recommendations on how social services should be personalised for families with children with disabilities and develops a model for the delivery of personalised social services. The study showed that personalisation of social services has a significant positive impact on quality of life. The limited range of personalised social services and the poor personalisation of existing services were found to exacerbate the social isolation of families with children with disabilities. |
