An Analysis of the Factors influencing the Reading Package Leaflets of the Medical Products. The goal of this graduation thesis is to analyze the factors that are affecting the reading of packages leaflets. While writing the work we set these objectives – to find out how many respondents read the package leaflet and the information they usually choose to read, to find out respondents' opinion on the information presented in the leaflet, what are the things that the respondents think are missing from the leaflet and to examine the results of the investigation by revealing the fundamental problems with the leaflet reading. The study was carried out by using a quantitative questionnaire survey method, the data from the questionnaire was grouped, illustrated and the results were later analyzed and conlusions were formed. The analysis of the results was based on X2 (Pearson Chi-Square) compatability criteria, as it was intended to find out whether the results of the analysis are dependent on a number of factors such as: the respondents gender, age, residence, nationality, education. The participants of the study were pharmacies located in Karoliniškės, Vilnius, and the patients of a pharmacy in Nemenčinė, which is a part of the Vilnius region. The results of the study were summarized from the answers of 200 respondents. The results confirmed the hypothesis of the study – not all the patients read the information contained in the package leaflet or may have problems reading it. The main conlusions, which were made by analyzing the results of the survey were made: the majority of the respondents find the package leaflet necessary, however, when the patients buy only a part of the medication package, they usually do not ask for the leaflet; majority of the patients always read the leaflet, however usually they do not read it entirely, but only a part of the information; usually the respondents look for information about the product, its purpose and usage characteristics; patients often are not sure, whether they are using the medication properly, also they do not always understand the information in the leaflet; majority of the customers think, that the main issues with the leaflets are: too much information and the text is written in letters that are too small. |
