Abstract [eng] This work analyzes Lithuanian and Italian deictic locative adverbs, and demonstrative pronouns on the basis of Karl Bühlerʼs theory of deixis. Analysis focuses also on the psychological usage of deictic structures (locative adverbs and demonstrative pronouns) and seeks to determine the diffrerences between space deixis systems in Lithuanian and Italian. In total, there were 84 Lithuanian and Italian respondents (22 hours of video material). The qualitative, quantitative, and semi-stuctural interview methods were used in this paper. The research has revealed that: 1. Usage of deictic stuctures in local deixis is influenced by both physical and psychological distance. The object who are relatively colse to the speaker can be localized as distant and vice versa. It is determined by the speakers here-space that can be very wide or narrow. Also, the selection of deictic structures can be define by the presence of physical barriers. 2. In spoken Italian, a selection of definitive and undefined local adverbs depends not on the geographical position of the region, but on the personal speakers habits. 3. A list of linguistic structures, who are used in space deixis, is not finished in Italian, nor Lithuanian. Possibly, there can be a Lithuanian particle va and Italian local adverb laggiù. 4. Lithuanian system of pronouns tends to be binary rather than ternary. The third pronoun anas was not recorded in any interviews. 5. Lithuanian and Italian space deixis systems have more similarities than differences (motion verbs in Italian weren’t examined in this paper).
