The Development of the Confidence in Banking Sector of Lithuania. This master thesis examines the factors of confidence in banking sector in Lithuania.In the context of European countries, Lithuania has one of the lowest rates of trust in banks. Literature analysis reviews the development of confidence in baking sector impact on countries financial sectors and economic results. A correlation analysis and Granger’s causality test have been conducted in order to observe possible connections between confidence in banking sector rating and unemployment, GDP and inflation. The data was statistically processed with R program batch, resulting in conclusion that only unemployment has statistically significant connection to confidence in banking sector. An empirical research has been made, basing on the survey results. 122 respondents participated in the survey, 53,7% of whom indicated good confidence in Lithuanian banking sector. |
