Abstract [eng] The final thesis analyses the topic of criminal association in the Lithuanian Court Jurisprudence, examining the interpretations provided by Lithuanian courts, significant legal acts, and the opinions of criminal law scholars. Criminal association is one of the most complex forms of complicity, which, since the restoration of the independence of the Republic of Lithuania, has constantly changed and evolved. Therefore, it is evident that the interpretations of Lithuanian courts regarding the identification of this form of complicity and the determination of its characteristics have also changed in certain aspects. This topic reveals the problems and peculiarities that prevail in Lithuanian Court Jurisprudence. Firstly, the final thesis examines the concept, characteristics, and historical development of criminal association as a legal expression of organized crime in the criminal legislation of the Republic of Lithuania. The thesis also analyses the interpretations provided by Lithuanian courts related to the identification and determination of the main characteristics of criminal association. In addition, the thesis also analyses the peculiarities of a qualified criminal association, which are reflected in the Lithuanian Court Jurisprudence. For the sake of clarity, the basic and qualified elements of a criminal association are discussed separately. The final thesis distinguishes a criminal association and an organised group and reveals the problems of distinguishing these forms of complicity in Lithuanian Court Jurisprudence. Finally, the thesis analyses the judicial practice regarding the criminal liability of criminal associations in Lithuanian Court Jurisprudence. A detailed analysis of the interpretations issued by the Lithuanian courts allowed to identify the peculiarities and problematic aspects of this form of complicity that prevail in the decisions issued by the Lithuanian courts.
