Abstract [eng] This master's thesis analyzes the changes in the regulation of labor legal relations and the specifics of implementation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which began in the spring of 2020. The study examines relevant legal acts, legal doctrine, court practice. The topic is first explored through the regulation of special legal regimes in Lithuania, discussing the main legal elements of a state of emergency, emergency situation and quarantine. The impact of the pandemic on the application of these regimes is analyzed, concluding that the Lithuanian executive authority rightfully chose the legal regimes of emergency situation and quarantine for managing the coronavirus. The research also examines the pandemic's effect on the regulation of special legal regimes, identifying the necessary legal changes that had to be made in order to address non-compliance with the requirements of legal regulation restricting human rights and freedoms, also to enhance the effectiveness of the state threat management mechanism. The second part of the thesis examines mandatory employee health checks for communicable diseases, their legality, legal regulatory adjustments during the pandemic, as well as specific labor law institutes – remote work, downtime, suspension of employment contract execution, strikes, lockouts and the specifics of their application both during and after the pandemic. It is observed that certain amendments, initially intended solely to address pandemic-related issues, were not repealed even after the state-level emergency situation and quarantine were lifted, based on the reasoning that they may be needed again in the event of similar situations arising in the future. Finally, the thesis includes an overview of legal measures adopted in other European Union countries in the context of the coronavirus, noting that these measures exhibit common trends, some were similar to those applied in Lithuania, while other countries employed unique legal instruments.
