Abstract [eng] The completeness and accuracy of auditory information recall are essential aspects in assessing memory reliability, particularly in situations where recalled information may have practical significance, such as in legal contexts. This master’s thesis aimed to investigate how collaboration during auditory recall affects the completeness and accuracy of recalled auditory information among young adults when responding to suggestive questions. A combination of convenience and snowball sampling methods was used for participant recruitment. The study involved 60 young adults (43 women and 17 men), aged between 18 and 29 years (M=24,20; SD=2,25). Participants were asked to listen to a recorded story and recall the auditory information either collaboratively with a partner or individually. Later, all participants individually provided a free recall, and after one day, responded to neutral and suggestive questions about the story. Mean comparison analyses revealed that collaboration increased the completeness of auditory recall but had no statistically significant effect on response accuracy or resistance to suggestive questions. The amount of confabulated information also did not differ between groups. These findings suggest that collaboration in auditory recall may contribute to more detailed recall but does not necessarily ensure greater accuracy to suggestive questioning. The psychological and practical implications of these findings are discussed in the context of legal proceedings.
