Abstract [eng] The main goal of the master's final thesis is to determine the influence of external and internal factors on the environmental performance of laboratories, mediated by the maturity of environmental management, based on the results of the analysis of scientific literature and survey. Master's thesis consists of three parts: analysis of literature, methodology and data analysis. In the first part, based on the scientific literature, the external and internal factors that influence the environmental performance of laboratories are analysed. This part describes the environmental management maturity and how environmental performance is perceived. Quantitative methodology was chosen for the research. The second part presents the objective of the empirical research - to determine what influence external and internal factors have on the environmental performance of laboratories, mediated by the maturity of environmental management, as well as research tasks, conceptual research model and hypotheses. In the same part, the research tools are presented, the organization of the research is described, sample characteristics and the methods of data analysis are described. In the third part, data analysis is performed - descriptive statistics are presented, data distribution is checked according to the normal distribution, regression models are presented, mediation analysis is performed. Finally, the results of the empirical research, conclusions, suggestions, and limitations of the research are summarized. The list of analysed literature is indicated at the end of the work as well as the appendices. Based on the results obtained during the study, it was determined that external factors do not have a direct positive impact on environmental performance in laboratories and do not affect the environmental maturity level of laboratory management, therefore it can be stated that external factors should not in any way change environmental performance and environmental management maturity level in laboratories. The empirical study found that the application of technologies, business process management and green human resource management (internal factors) have a positive impact on environmental performance and environmental management maturity level in laboratories. Based on the results of the study, it was determined that the level of environmental management maturity has a positive impact on the environmental performance of laboratories. Based on the results of the empirical study, it was determined that the level of environmental management maturity fully mediates the relationship between external factors and environmental performance in laboratories. Based on the results of the empirical study, it was determined that the level of environmental management maturity partially mediates the relationship between internal factors and environmental performance in laboratories. At the end of the study, the conclusions, suggestions based on the analysis of the literature and the data of the performed research, the limitations of the research and suggestions for future research are presented. The topic of environmental science has been relevant for some time now. Attention to the diverse spectrum of laboratory activities, their environmental management maturity, external and internal factors, which can affect the environmental performance of companies conducting laboratory activities, are poorly studied. This study aims to correct the gap in the literature, then prepare findings are recommendations for further research.
