Abstract [eng] |
The purpose of this master thesis is to analyze the impact of knowledge sharing and collaboration on the implementation and development of business process management. The work consists of four main parts: scientific literature review, research methodology, analysis of research results, conclusions and suggestions. The scientific literature review examines the concepts of knowledge sharing and collaboration and their impact on business process management, as well as the aspects of the implementation and development of business process management. Although the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration is emphasized in the literature, there remains a lack of research analyzing their integrated impact on the implementation and development of business process management. An empirical study is conducted using a quantitative research methodology and employing a questionnaire survey. The survey is developed based on validated scales from other authors that measure the key variables. This research involves 380 employees from the Lithuanian construction sector who are involved in process management. Respondents are reached through internal channels of construction sector organizations and using email. The data is analyzed using SPSS software, and descriptive, regression and mediation analyses are performed. Based on the research results, both knowledge sharing and collaboration have a direct positive impact on the implementation and development of business process management with implementation serving as a mediating factor between these variables and the development of business process management. Of all the dimensions of knowledge sharing and collaboration, communication has the most significant impact on the implementation and development of business process management. Summarizing the literature review and research results, insights on the significance of knowledge sharing and collaboration for the implementation and development of business process management are presented. The research results provide a basis for recommendations that can help organizations improve business process management. |
