Abstract [eng] The master’s thesis explores the factors influencing process compliance within business organizations – a phenomenon that contributes to organizational efficiency and adaptability. Based on a review of scientific literature, three main groups of factors were identified as theoretical determinants of process compliance: process documentation, process control, and employee engagement. The aim of the thesis is to assess which of these factor groups, and how, shape process compliance in organizations through a quantitative study. The structure of the thesis is based on five objectives: each of the three factor groups is theoretically defined, the distribution of survey data is described, and the influence of the factors on process compliance is determined using multiple linear regression analysis. A questionnaire survey method was chosen for the research, involving 218 employees from various Lithuanian organizations across both the private and public sectors. Data were processed using SPSS software by applying descriptive statistics, testing regression assumptions, and conducting multiple linear regression. The results showed that process documentation (B = 0.47; p < 0.001) and employee engagement (B = 0.34; p < 0.001) have a significant positive effect on process compliance. In contrast, process control (B = –0.05; p = 0.57) did not have a statistically significant effect. This outcome is interpreted as being potentially influenced by differing perceptions of control among respondents (perceived more as external pressure than support) and by organizational diversity within the sample (respondents represented various organizations and sectors where levels of control may differ substantially). The regression model explained 51% of the variation in process compliance (R² = 0.51), and all assumptions for the analysis were met. The findings suggest that organizations aiming to strengthen process compliance should invest in process documentation and foster employee engagement. The research results support a synergistic factor model, which until now has often been examined only in fragmented ways in academic literature. The conclusions of this study hold potential value both for practical application and for further academic research.
