Abstract [eng] THE ROLE OF CREATIVE AND INNOVATIVE STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN THE SCALE-UP STAGE OF TECHNOLOGY STARTUPS LUKRECIJA KULIEŠIŪTĖ Master thesis Business Development program Vilnius university, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Supervisor – Associate professor, Dr. Asta Stankevičienė Vilnius, 2025 SUMMARY The thesis consists of 102 pages, 20 tables, 7 figures, and 99 references. This thesis aims to determine how the application of creative and innovative strategic management methods shapes the success of technology startups in the scale-up stage. The work consists of four main parts: literature review, empirical research methodology, discussion of results, conclusions, and proposals. In the literature review, the characteristics and growth context of technology startups, the role of creativity and innovation in strategic management, and aspects of strategic readiness and organizational flexibility are examined. The study employed a qualitative method – semi-structured interviews with seven technology startup executives. Thematic analysis methodology was used for data analysis. It was found that in the scale-up stage, the strategy horizon shortens to 1-3 months, product-market fit is never permanent, and organizational flexibility becomes inevitable for successful growth. The research can be further developed through quantitative methods integration, geographical scope expansion, and long-term strategic management evolution monitoring.
