Abstract [eng] |
The spread of artificial intelligence is increasingly affecting not only learning processes but also opening opportunities for teachers' professional development in education. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate not only the technological usefulness of these tools, but also teachers' practical experiences of using artificial intelligence in lessons’ preparation. Teachers' insights could help to reveal both the potential and limitations of artificial intelligence integration in education. This paper analyses teachers' experiences of using artificial intelligence for lesson planning. The research problem is that, as the academic literature focuses more on the technological applicability of artificial intelligence and less on the user experience, the problem is formulated as to how teachers perceive the use of this technology in lesson planning, what benefits they experience and what challenges they face when using it in their planning practice. The research focuses on the experiences of teachers working in gymnasiums and using artificial intelligence. The aim of this study is to uncover teachers' experiences of using artificial intelligence for lesson planning. Objectives: 1. To analyse the scientific literature on the application of artificial intelligence in education, quality lessons and the principles of lesson planning. 2. Identify the benefits and challenges of using artificial intelligence and teachers' readiness to use it for lesson planning. 3. To explore teachers' experiences, attitudes and suggestions on the use of artificial intelligence in lesson planning. A qualitative study was carried out using semi-structured interviews to collect data. 15 informants were interviewed. Thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006) was used to analyse the data obtained. The results of the study revealed that the use of artificial intelligence tools in education helps teachers to prepare and plan lessons more effectively, considering the different needs of students and educational objectives. The advantages and disadvantages of using artificial intelligence for lesson planning were identified, as well as the challenges that teachers face when using the technology for lesson planning. Teachers also highlight the potential threats to the use of artificial intelligence. Teachers' readiness to use artificial intelligence is manifested in the fact that pedagogical professionalism and awareness are maintained by integrating this technology into the lesson planning process. The findings show that teachers see artificial intelligence as an inevitability and consider it a productive tool but stress the need for administrative support. |
