Abstract [eng] |
The topic of the Master’s thesis is “The Impact of Singing on the Expression of Adolescent Self-Realization in the Process of Non-Formal Vocal Education.” Adolescence is a complex period of child development, marked by rapid physical, emotional, and psychological changes that give rise to self-realization challenges, while singing can be an effective tool to overcome these challenges by enhancing emotional well-being and creativity. However, the potential of singing as a means of self-realization in the context of non-formal education, particularly in addressing adolescents’ emotional and psychological needs, remains insufficiently explored. The question arises: what is the impact of singing on adolescent self-realization in the process of non-formal vocal education? The object of the study is the impact of singing on adolescent self-realization within non-formal vocal education. The aim is to investigate the influence of singing on adolescent self-realization during non-formal vocal education. The objectives are as follows: to discuss the theoretical foundations and methods of singing; to define non-formal vocal education; to analyze the characteristics of adolescence and self-realization challenges; čto empirically explore the impact of singing on adolescent self-realization. The research methodology involves a qualitative study, consisting of theoretical justification, research planning, and data analysis. The methods used include scientific literature analysis, semi-structured interviews, and descriptive data analysis. The research sample consists of 8 adolescent girls, aged 12–17, attending a private singing studio. The results reveal that singing helps adolescents to express emotions, reduces stress, enhances psychological resilience, promotes creative self-expression, and contributes to identity formation, thereby fostering their self-realization. A safe non-formal education environment and a strong relationship with the teacher, based on friendly communication, patience, and a positive attitude toward mistakes, motivate adolescents to express themselves confidently and grow, creating safe and supportive conditions for their self-realization. Singing acts as a therapeutic and creative tool, shaping adolescents’ emotional well-being, personal growth, and self-expression. |
