Abstract [eng] Research Aim: To explore the impact of drama therapy on the social skills and emotional expression of children aged 11 to 16 with complex disabilities. Participants: Nine children aged 11 to 16 with complex disabilities, attending the “Giliukai” group at the city’s complex social services day care center. Methodology: A qualitative research design was chosen, the study involved a literature review and empirical research. For data analysis, a case study approach was used. Mixed methods were applied to collect data: the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) to assess the child’s psychosocial challenges and strengths; other methods: semi-structured interview; researcher observations; The data were organized and analyzed using SDQcohort online software. Results: After the drama therapy intervention, participants showed improvements in emotional expression, increase in ability to focus, and interaction within the group. However, it is worth noting that opinions varied in some cases—for instance, the parents of four children did not observe any noticeable improvement. Conclusion: Drama therapy had a positive effect on the psychosocial expression of children with complex disabilities. The drama therapy sessions were flexible enough to accommodate the diverse needs of children with different types of complex disabilities. It is recommended to expand the application of drama therapy in day centers and to involve parents in the observation process.
