Abstract [eng] Structure of Interactive Storytelling in User Systems This paper investigates the posibilities to analyse the non-linear hypertext interactive systems using J. Lotman’s and A. J. Greimas’ semiotics. The aim of the investigation is to understand if it would be possible to use this type of analysis to detect flaws of the web-based interactive user systems and to inegrate it as a tool for further development of such systems. The main challenge of the work is that the „texts“ are neither linear, nor fixed, and the narratives are rather constructed live on the spot at the moment of interaction between human and computer system. To define the importance of design tasks the design model of personna creation is explained; for explanation of complex web-based structures various texts of hypertext theorists are analyzed; to define the boundaries between world wide web and human world the theories of semiotician Jurij Lotman are used and in order to define the processes that are taking action when person logs into such web-based sytems and becomes Subject seeking for his Object of desire - the theories of Algirdas Julius Greimas are used. Empirical investigation analyzes three online webshops, each from the different background, but having the same purpose – to sell items to their customers. During the analysis elements forming webpages of each webshop has to be extracted. At the same time main reiterating functions that launches in a chronological order starting from the moment when the potential customer enters the system and stopping at the moment when the process of purchase is finished needs to be indentified. With all that done - the connections between the elements and functions has to be defined. The result of the empirical investigation provides with a list of functions and elements that are matched with actants of Greimas’ actant model. The elements that falls under actant Opponent are the errors in the system, that needs to be fixed in order to provide the user of the system to finish his narrative path to achieve his Object of desire. The paper conducts that it is really possible to do analysis of interactive web systems using Greimas’ actant model. It also easy to conclude, that after applying Greimas’ actant model to analyze the system the personna model should be applied to emphasis the improvement even more.
