Abstract [eng] The purpose of the thesis is to carry out an analysis of UAB „Viking Industrier“ economic activity between years 2012–2016 and to provide directions for improvement in order to maximize company profitability. The first part of the work evaluates and systematizes theoretical aspects of economic analysis and activity improvement by Lithuanian and foreign authors. The economic analysis of the company‘s activities is useful for assesing the activities and revealing the problems inside the company. The second part of the work contains analysis of the market where the company operates (based on research methodology), as well as the internal activity analysis of UAB „Viking Industrier“. The purpose of market analysis is to evaluate and present the specifics of the economic sector, where the company operates. Due to most product exports to Norway, the analysis of wood and wood production in Norway has been carried out. The internal analysis was performed on the basis of relative and absolute indicators, presented in studied literature. Throughout the economic analysis of the company, the sales revenue, operating efficiency, profit and profitability, solvency, output indicators were calculated and factors influencing them determined. The third part of the thesis proposes improvement of activities for UAB „Viking Industrier“, by changing the range of the products. As the company seeks to achieve greater profitability, it has to specialize in the production of a narrow and profitable range of products. The study results of the economic analysis and improvement activities of UAB „Viking Industrier“ can be used to increase profitability of the company.
