| Abstract [eng] |
The first part of the thesis addresses three related questions about the degrees of algebraic numbers. The main result of this part is the solution to a problem posed in 2013 by Dubickas, Drungilas, and Luca regarding the degree of the compositum of two number fields of prime degree. The second part of the thesis investigates nontrivial relations between algebraic conjugates. The main result of this part is the complete classification of all linear relations between three algebraic conjugates of degree at most eight. |
