Abstract [eng] The main objective of the master's thesis is to determine the impact of the application of information technologies (IT) on the processes of general education schools (GES) and student achievement, as well as to assess the moderating effect of teachers’ information literacy on these relationships. The relevance of the thesis is driven by the growing role of ICT in the education system and the aspiration to create a sustainable and advanced educational environment that aligns with both national and international strategic goals. The master's thesis consists of three main parts: a review of the scientific literature, a description of the empirical research methodology and an analysis of the research findings, conclusions and recommendations. The literature review part discusses the model of the education system, the specifics of general education schools, academic and administrative processes, the concept of education quality, the peculiarities of student achievement assessment, and the application of IT in schools, based on the digital education ecosystem model. The role of teachers' information literacy is also analysed. The empirical study was conducted using a survey method, with 291 respondents. The data were analysed using regression, mediation, moderation, and correlation analysis methods. The results of the study showed that the application of IT has a positive impact on school processes but does not directly influence student achievement. It was found that IT has an indirect influence on student achievement through school processes. It was also found that teachers' information literacy significantly moderates the relationship between IT application and student achievement and itself influences school processes. The results of the study may be useful for educational institutions and education policymakers seeking to apply IT more effectively in school activities.
