This master’s thesis focuses on examining the impact of educational strategies on the engagement of different audience groups in the theatre. The work approaches education not as an auxiliary activity, but as an important strategic component that shapes audience engagement through emotional, cognitive and behavioural dimensions. By analysing interpretative, experiential and cognitive educational strategies, the thesis highlights how educational practices contribute to the formation of meaningful, long-term relationships between theatres and their audiences, while acknowledging the diversity of audience groups and their differing motivations, experiences and levels of involvement. The study emphasises educational strategies as a relevant element in fostering active participation and deeper engagement with theatrical content, deliberately leaving aside marketing and communication perspectives.
