Abstract [eng] The role of Public Employment Service in promoting employment of NEET women aged 25 – 29 living in rural areas in Lithuania was analysed in the master thesis. The main aim of this work is to analyse the role of Public Employment Service in promoting the employment for these women. In the first part of the work there are presented theoretical NEET group aspects. The second part of the work is the review employment issues among women aged 25 – 29 living in rural areas. The third part is the examination of the importance of Public Employment Service for the employment of this group of women. In the fourth part of the work is focused on the researching of the role of Public Employment Service in promoting employment of this group of women. An analysis of scientific literature has shown that NEET youth is a group of individuals with various reasons why they don‘t work, study and not participate in training. However, after collecting analysis of scientific literature it was identified that NEET women aged 25 – 29 group’s participation in the labour market is usually limited by family responsibilities. Scientific literature indicates that Public Employment Service is the main character which encourages youth participation in the labour market (Broschinski, Assmann, 2021), therefore this research aims to find out the role of Public Employment Service for this women group. A qualitative study was conducted to achieve the research objective. Public Employment Service employees who participated in the research have a direct work experience with NEET youth. Completed two focus groups discussions. The main research results show that the following active labour market policy measures for this women group are most commonly prescribed by Public Employment Service such as internship, vocational training, apprenticeship, subsidised employment, mobility support. It was noticed a double impact of some measures for Public Employment Service clients: increased employment opportunities and increased motivation. During research it is clarified the importance of Public Employment Service employees’ motivation, interest to help, identification of necessary measures taking into account the needs of clients. Scientific literature and research results show the importance of collaboration and bigger other social policy areas involvement increasing employment opportunities for these women.
