This study examines the importance of communication in the context of Lithuania's social policy, emphasizing its role within the public sector. Communication is identified as a fundamental instrument for achieving social policy objectives, informing the public, and engaging society in addressing social challenges. The research investigates how effective communication strategies can enhance public trust in institutions, reduce social exclusion, and foster greater civic participation. The objective of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies in the domain of Lithuania's social policy, to identify the main challenges associated with communication, and to provide recommendations for their resolution. The primary tasks include defining the significance of communication within the framework of social policy, exploring the applicability of communication measures for different societal groups, and offering practical guidance for improving communication strategies. The study employs a quantitative methodology, utilizing a survey to assess public perceptions regarding the clarity of information, content adaptation, and the effectiveness of communication channels. The findings indicate that diverse audience groups (e.g., youth, seniors, rural residents) require tailored communication approaches, and that the accessibility and clarity of information are critical to the successful implementation of social policy. The key challenges identified in the public sector include the digital divide, management of information overload, lack of public trust in institutions, and coordination issues in communication strategies. In conclusion, the results and recommendations presented in this study are essential for developing effective communication strategies aimed at strengthening public trust, enhancing the effectiveness of social policy, and mitigating social exclusion in Lithuania. |
