Abstract [eng] Master’s thesis analyse representations and problematics of consumer society in 21st century Lithuanian novels „Three Seconds of Heaven“ (2002) by Sigitas Parulskis, „Strekaza“ (2003) by Undinė Radzevičiūtė, „Yesterday We Were on the Island“ (2011) by Aleksandra Fomina, „Bodies and Crystals“ (2015) by Aurimas Lukoševičius, „Stasys Šaltoka“ (2017) by Gabija Grušaitė. Analysis is based on works by Jean Baudrillard, Anthony Giddens, Zygmunt Bauman and Guy Debord, considering sociology of literature the methodological basis of the work. Consumer society is discussed in selected novels of Lithuanian authors, raising the problems of consumerism, identity and performativeness, searching for reflexions of consumer culture in the novels.
