Abstract [eng] |
This paper presents research results on the dasymetric mapping of population and population disaggregation methods are used in process. Dasymetric mapping toolbox was used to create dasymetric population density maps of Lithuania. After The CORINE Land Cover (CLC) and GDR10LT databases were utilized as ancillary data because the land cover pattern best reflects population density and provides useful georeferenced information for disaggregating census data. The first issued addressed was how is population distributed among land cover classes in Lithuania. Special attention was made to pick relative density for the population ratio in land cover classes. |
