Abstract [eng] The Master’s thesis ‘The Cases of Dramatic Text Performativity’ examines dramatic texts of three playwrights: Martin Crimp, Ivan Vyrypaev, and Bernard-Marie Koltès, focusing on the expression of performativity – ‘active’ language. The notion of performativity is used the thesis as defined by John Langshaw Austin, transferring and adapting it for the field of dramaturgy. The aim of the thesis is to cast light on the theme of performativity and various manifestations thereof in contemporary dramaturgy through an analysis of dramatic texts. In the text by M. Crimp, the concept of language as action unfolds itself through the structure of the play, polysemy, questions, repetitions, and pauses, through which acts of hurting, unmasking, power, defence, and conflict are carried out. I. Vyrypaev creates performativity through the principle of bricolage of genre forms, a ‘dialogue’ of forms, which becomes a sign of a dialogue between a conflict-ridden man and God. B.-M. Koltè’s play is based on linguistic power games, in which a word is used as a tool to acquire power, provoke, and take a defensive position. The analysis of the chosen dramatic texts of late 19th century and early 20th century revealed a shift in the nature of creation of contemporary dramatic text, in which the communicative function of language is replaced with the concept of language as action. This allows us to talk about an era of contemporary dramaturgy as performative.
