Abstract [eng] 66 pages, 18 tables, 4 figures, 38 references. This master’s thesis examines the impact of employees’ artificial intelligence literacy on organizational performance, with artificial intelligence use in the organization treated as a mediating factor. The relevance of the topic is associated with the rapid spread of artificial intelligence solutions in organizations, where the benefits provided by technology increasingly depend not only on the functionality of the tools themselves, but also on employees’ ability to understand them, critically evaluate them, and purposefully apply them in practice. The thesis consists of three main parts: a theoretical literature analysis, a research methodology section, and an empirical analysis of the research results. The aim of the thesis is to investigate the impact of employees’ artificial intelligence literacy on organizational performance by assessing artificial intelligence use in the organization as a mediating factor. To achieve this aim, the theoretical aspects of employees’ artificial intelligence literacy, artificial intelligence use in the organization, and organizational performance were analyzed, the interrelationships between these constructs were substantiated, a research model was developed, a research methodology was prepared, and the proposed hypotheses were empirically tested. A quantitative research method was applied in the study, namely a questionnaire survey. The data were analyzed using SPSS software. The study involved descriptive statistical analysis, an assessment of questionnaire scale reliability using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, an analysis of data distribution normality, and correlation, regression, and mediation analyses. The empirical study involved 156 respondents from various organizations operating in Lithuania and different fields of activity, however, the final analytical sample consisted of 152 responses. The research results showed that the three main constructs - employees’ artificial intelligence literacy, artificial intelligence use in the organization, and organizational performance - are interrelated. It was found that employees’ artificial intelligence literacy is significantly associated with more active artificial intelligence use in the organization, while artificial intelligence use in the organization is associated with a more favorable evaluation of organizational performance. It was also established that employees’ artificial intelligence literacy is related to organizational performance. The mediation analysis revealed that artificial intelligence use in the organization partially mediates the relationship between employees’ artificial intelligence literacy and organizational performance. In conclusion, employees’ artificial intelligence literacy in organizations is important not only as an individual competence, but also as a prerequisite for more purposeful artificial intelligence use and more favorable organizational performance outcomes. The results of the thesis may be used in further research and published in the context of scientific and applied studies.
