The main aim of this master’s thesis is to evaluate BPM capabilities, such as a BPM supportive organisational culture and employees individual process orientation, in relation to project success results. The objectives of the thesis are to define BPM capabilities, including BPM supportive organisational culture and employees individual process orientation; to analyse project success results and the factors influencing them; to assess BPM capabilities and project success results, while taking company size into account. The paper consists of an introduction, a scientific literature review, research methodology, analysis of the researh results, conclusions and recommendations. The analysis of scientific literature revealed that BPM capabilities are explained as a combination of several areas that are significant for the implementation and maintenance of BPM in companies. An organizational culture that supports BPM reflects behavior as well as habits related to process management and execution. In the paper, it was examined based on the areas of customer orientation, excellence, responsibillity, teamwork. Meanwhile employees individual process orientation reflects their thinking, skills and involvement in countinuos process improvement, analysed through the dimensions of process knowledge, process awareness, cross-functional coordination, continous reflection. Project success results are evaluated in terms of project deadlines, budget, customer expectations and team satisfaction. Author conducted a quantitative study and applied a questionnaire survey method. Correlation, regression and moderation analyses were performed to identify relationships between the variables. The study assessed the impact of BPM supportive organizational culture and employees individual process orientation on project success results, as well as the role of company size in these relationships. The research results showed that within BPM supportive organizational culture the dimensions of teamwork and responsibillity have a statistically significant impact on the project success results. In relation to employees individual process orientation, the impact on the project success results was confirmed for process knowledge, process awareness and cross-functional coordination. The role of company size was not confirmed. The findings are relevant for companies seeking to improve project success results. The study recommends prioritising the strengthening of teamwork, responsibility, process knowledge, process awareness and cross-functional coordination. Future research could further examine the impact of BPM capabilities on project success results by considering project types, company sector and case studies. |
