The article argues that there is a significant conceptual commonality between the philosophy of Antanas Maceina and realist hermeneutics. This commonality is revealed as capable of leading to a productive, mutually enriching dialogue, contributing to the resolution of fundamental problems related to the relationship between interpretation and reality. Establishing this dialogue opens a new path of relevance for Maceina’s philosophy and introduces promising elements of theistic philosophy into the horizon of realist hermeneutics. |
