Accidents at work: theory, practise, problems Number of accidents at work is progressively increasing in Republic of Lithuania recently and number of fatal accidents in Lithuania is one of the biggest among the European Union countries. Such prevalence is determined by work conditions, legal regulation, coverage of legal concept of accident work and commuting accident, it is also influenced by some practical aspects. Seeing that, the major aim of thesis is to analyse legal regulation of accidents at work in Republic of Lithuania, therefore practical and theoretical problems are disclosed. In the first part of thesis conception of accident at work and development of accident at work definitions is analysed. First part of thesis also reveals purposes of changing the legal acts definitions of accidents at work, exposing the positive and negative aspects of each definition, also exposing problems of practical use of these definitions. Second part of thesis is meant for analysing classifications of accidents at work, revealing the significance of each classification. In the third part of thesis compensation of accidents at work is considered. This part of thesis reveals connection between investigation of accidents at work and compensation of accidents at work, also practical and theoretical problems are disclosed. A comparison of legal regulation of accidents at work in Republic of Lithuania with French Republic and Commonwealth of Australia is submitted, comparing certain aspects in order to reveal problems or good practise of regulation in Republic of Lithuania. |
