Legal Regulation of Material Liability in Labour Law Purpose of Material Liability is to compensate any damage which was inflicted respectably upon employee or employer without violating their rights and obligations. Historically, Material Liability in Lithuanian Labour Law is rather associated with Material Liability of employee, compensation to the employer and remunerated amount of damage limitation. In this respect, it is obligatory to allude Material Liability of employer as well. The objective of this thesis is to analyze international, EU and national law regarding the Material Liability in Lithuania. This thesis focuses on problems of Material Liability of employer, addressing cases of employer’s liability, awarding of moral damage and heads of the company (directors) liability issues. This thesis also analyzes the new Lithuanian Labour Codex introduced by developers of Labour relations and social insurance legal-administrative model. |
