Abstract [eng] This master thesis analyzes the development of industrial relations, collective bargaining, the implementation of collective agreements and application of responsibility for violations of collective agreements. Collective agreements of the companies, institutions and organizations operating in Lithuania are analyzed, as well the pros and cons are noticed. For example, locally existing guarantees actually improving their situation comparing to laws in some contracts are established but there are different examples, too. The collective contract enforcement concept, separate entities capable to perform control that is granted to non-state and state are also discussed. The non-governmental control is called the control that is performed by contract parties. According to the collective agreements relatively small number of contracts parties pursue the active review - set up special committees and commissions, which act on provisions and regulations of local basis. State control is carried out by the institutions with relevant authority. The main and the most important - the State Labour Inspectorate. Collective Agreement improper execution or not execution - incur negative consequences. It is also analyzed in this work. The parties of Collective Agreement may face legal or contractual liability for non-compliance of the collective agreement. The legal liability is regulated by separate legislation, such as the Labour Code, Criminal Code and others. The contractual liability of the parties may be determined in the contract. It should be noted the contractual liability - quite a rare phenomenon. More frequent consequence arising from a breach of the collective agreement collective labour disputes. When the view come up that one of the country's interests are violated and the other part denies, the potential for conflict appears and this makes possible to initiate a dispute. However, up to the stage of the dispute the parties can solve the situation peacefully and combine interests by entering into collective bargaining.
