Abstract [eng] Definition of Worker in the European Union Labour Law Definition of worker indefiniteness in European Union legal regulations is causing theoretical and practical problems in European Union Labour law. This question is important not only because of increasing foreign persons being employed in other than homeland state, exploiting their right to freedom of movement, but also because of European Union regulations in labour law field relation with the national law of member states systems. The main aim of this thesis is to analyse a content of definition of worker regulation and its development tendencies in European Union labour law which is being formed by European Court of Justice. This thesis is divided in six parts according to EU-regulated labour relations areas, namely: the definition of worker premises in the European Union law, the definition of worker in the context of freedom of movement, definition of worker in implementation of the principle of equality, definition of worker in contract of employment, performance and termination, legislation regulating the safety and health at work, the definition employee in the European Union collective labour law. Relevant regulations, their scope of application and European Union Court of Justice practice are being analysed.
