Abstract [eng] The aim is to identify foreign direct investments trends, while analyzing country's economic policy and it's effect on the promotion of foreign direct investments coming to Lithuania, assessing the determining factor of foreign direct investment development and performing evaluation of Lithuania's investment environment attractiveness. Identify and assess influence of Lithuania's macroeconomic indicators on the development of investment environment attractiveness and attraction of foreign direct investments in the Lithuanian economy. Aim of work. Identify foreign direct investment trends in Lithuania, their determining factors and also identify the relationship between foreign direct investment and country's investment environment attractiveness. Object of research is direct foreign investments and investment environment. Lithuania's attractiveness for direct foreign investments is lead by economical relations of formed development of investment environment, as well as factors. Work goals: The aim of this research is to systematize theoretical and practical creation approaches of favorable investment environment and determine trends of foreign investment attraction, under the conditions of economic modernization into country's economy. Methods of research: Used methods in the master thesis: systematic literature analysis, comparison and generalization methods, data grouping and systematization, comparison and interpretation of results, relative ratio analysis. Results: Using the method of correlation and regression, attractiveness of investment environment was evaluated. Macroeconomic indicators and FDI dependency assessment has shown that there is a strong and moderate relationship between real GDP, openness of the economy, domestic consumption, average annual inflation, average wage, tax burden, interest rates and FDI. Country's unemployment rate and balance of payment has no correlation relationship with FDI, and thus indicate that the specified macro-economical indicators do not effect the evaluation of investment environment attractiveness. Main conclusions: After conducted empirical research of economic, human resources, employment, financial and credit systems factors the work author concludes that the macroeconomic indicators are stable, most of them have positive impact on attracting foreign capital flows, and the Lithuanian investment environment is attractive to both existing and new foreign investors.
